Job Openings: Accounting Technician
Paradise Irrigation District is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to perform a wide variety of statistical and fiscal recordkeeping support related to the processing and maintenance of District financial data and reports in a timely, cost efficient manner with due regard to internal accounting controls. The successful candidate will perform a variety of accounting functions in the area of accounts payable, inventory and job costing, database management, payroll, and fixed asset control. Additionally, this position will assist in journal entry and general ledger preparation and month-end financial reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS: This challenging position requires any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities for acceptable job performance. Proven communication and team-building skills are required as well as the ability to quickly gain the trust and confidence of the office staff. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field, and three years of general accounting experience, or equivalent. Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license is required.
